Stuck.
My cousin and I climbed Superstition mountain, and decided we didn't need the trail. We ran out of water around 2, and by four we were so dehydrated that my cousin was suffering debilitating body cramps. We had climbed above the cliff line, and were unable to find our way back down. We had to call for a rescue team, of which only one member was able to climb the cliffs and find us. It had been such a harrowing climb, he was forced to drop his backpack, so had no water for us. regardless, he was a god send, and coordinated a rescue by helicopter. We might not have made it off the mountain without him. And On the upside, I was able to catch an incredible sunset while we waited.

Cactus Dusk.
Cactus at sunset in the foreground of the valley, and Phoenix, AZ, glittering like stars.

Wake Up, Jerome.
Jerome Arizona at sunrise, the golden light spilling over the staggered rooftops, into the valley where the mine belches industrial steam. One of the coolest places I've ever visited. Facilitated by the same cousin I was helicoptered off of Superstition with.

Shadow Cowboy.
I'm really pleased with the composition of these pictures. The hard shadows of the trees, and the white cowboy hat.

Gas Stop.
I wandered in a town that I cant name, somewhere in Arizona, while we stopped for gas. Thunder clouds backdropped ragged snow capped mountains, and dilapidated trailers cluttered the valley in a severe gridwork antithetical to the economic mess. I spied this beauty in one fenced in yard. Peep the sun screen.
